QTOYS TWO TONED WOODEN TREES

Where do you source your toys from?

ALL of the toys sold by Wild Woodland Toys have been purchased through reputable award winning Australian Wholesale suppliers who import and distribute high-quality wooden toys from overseas to Australian retailers.

These suppliers source the products from overseas (mainly China) from ethical wooden toy manufacturers who only use wood from sustainable sources, as well as using safe water, soy and vegetable based paints, adhesives and coatings. The paints are non- toxic as are the natural oils and beeswax used to bring out the natural wood grain. All of these materials are certified and non- toxic.
They undergo constant rigorous testing for safety in accordance with the strict guidelines for Toy Safety within Australia.

How can you trust these Australian toy wholesale suppliers that they are importing safe and high quality products?

Ethical Wooden Toy Companies tend to have nothing to hide and their websites and packaging usually proudly feature various certificates and awards by safety and environmental organisations.
There are several regulations and regulators governing the safety of toys in Australia but the Australian Consumer Law managed by the ACCC is the most important of these.

Are there any wooden toys made in Australia?

Apart from very very small family businesses, unfortunately Australia does not have any wooden toy brands that can wholesale to retailers such as myself. Many of our brands are designed in Australia and then manufactured overseas.
When wanting to expand our range we always seek out small Australian businesses and collaborate with them. We especially love supporting other women in business!

Can you offer an alternative to Australia Post for delivery?

As we live in regional South Australia, Australia Post is our only option for sending parcels. We absorb the cost as much as possible for postage but the increasing postage costs are out of our control.

Do you offer wholesale?

No. This is not something we are interested in. We enjoy selling directly through our store and website creating a unique experience for our customers.

Why are your products so expensive?

Traditional wooden toys are made of natural materials by skilled craftsmen, they are not mass produced in toxic plastic factories. As wooden toys substantially cost more to manufacture, their retail prices do tend to be higher.

Why are wooden toys better?

Plastic toys contain high levels of chemicals and toxins. Wooden toys are a much safer alternative as they do not contain these. This is particularly important with babies who tend to put everything in their mouths.
Wooden Toys are kinder to our planet as they don’t require batteries, electricity or even the software that the high tech devices require these days.

Do you offer express postage, gift wrapping and can a parcel be sent directly to the recipient?

Yes to all!
Select express postage during the checkout process (overnight is no longer an option). Gift wrapping can also be selected during checkout along with a gift card. The billing and delivery addresses can be different.
If the product is being sent as a gift, we will not include the invoice.
There is also a notes section for any notes you may want to add yourself.

How long will an out of stock product take to re-stock?

It may either be my store is out of stock, whereupon I just place an order and the products will arrive within 3 weeks or the supplier may be out of stock. As these toys are not bulk produced and actually made by people and not a machine, most of the toys can take 6 – 12 months to become available again.

Am I able to skip postage and pick up from the store?

If you live in or around the town of Kapunda, then yes, you can order online and pick up your order from within the store during opening hours. This option is available to select during the check out process for South Australian residents only.

Do you sell popular toy brands or the toys that are trending now?

Apart from the Disney range of Ravensburger Jigsaw Puzzles we do not sell any licensed products as the majority of these are not wooden based, generally mass produced and plastic.
Even though we could make a higher profit from selling licensed toys, they do not fit within our values and core beliefs.

How long have you been here?

The business was formed in 2011. The actual store front opened in September of 2018

Who else works in the business?

For many years Amanda operated Wild Woodland Toys on her own! With the introduction of Buy From the Bush, the online orders soared and she realised she needed more help. Amanda’s younger sister offered her time as she needed a more ‘understanding boss’ to help her out with her busy life. Amy now works two days a week which has helped reduce Amanda’s mental and physical work load.

Can I order over the phone?

You most certainly can! Before ringing make sure you have the brand and name of the product ready as we stock over 1300 products and we need to ensure we are packing the correct one!

We take credit card payments over the phone through our secure online Square portal. Your details are not kept on file. The postage will be the flat rate that is the same as the website.

Sometimes we cannot answer the phone as the shop is only attended by one person at any one time and we maybe busy with another customer, wrapping orders or doing the post office run!

Beautiful, unique wooden toys.
